Castle Hill RSL
Castle Hill RSL recently appointed Eo Design to perform a comprehensive Audio Visual Upgrade of their venue.

The clubs existing audio, AV control and Digital Signage head end systems were completely removed and upgraded.

The new back ground audio system comprises an Audia Flex back bone, which provides digital signal processing (DSP) for the whole club and an array of TOA cabinet speakers for the lounge and outdoor areas. .

The Digital Signage System is an eight channel AdScreen solution. The video signal is distributed via CAT5 twisted pair network to each of the signage monitors in the club.

There are a number of new display screens installed to complement the existing screens, one of which is a massive 103 inch Panasonic Plasma, located in the foyer. This screen display’s both Digital Signage and high definition television signals.

The entire Audio Visual system is controlled via AMX using a Dell 19 inch display as its touch screen user interface. The AMX control system controls the source and channel of each plasma display and the source and volume in each area. It also triggers the automated playing of the Ode every evening, whereby the lights in the venue dim, the Ode is recited over the loudspeakers, and each digital signage screen displays the Ode graphic specifically designed for the Club.

The Australian Department of Defence

The Australian Department of Defence appointed Eo Design to design and install audiovisual systems for the Defence College Executive meeting rooms and training rooms. Eo Design specified zero halogen, non PVC flame retardant “green” cable along with eco friendly low energy, low heat amplifiers, display systems and energy efficient LED lighting. Pictured below is the Executive Conference Room with Eo Lighting’s MR16 halogen lamp replacements, model 506C.

When the boardroom was in use, the previous lamps were consuming over 600watts of power. Eo lamps have reduced this down to 66watts. Sean Thompson head of AV for the College is delighted with the end result.

Examples of the types and scope of systems integrated include:
